Happy New Year Narragansett Bay PHRF sailors,
The PHRF Annual Meeting is scheduled at the East Greenwich Yacht Club., Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at 1830. We hope your boats are stored away after a successful racing season.
This year, two committee members, Bob Horton (secretary) and Randy Shore, have retired from the board—Randy has relocated to Canada. We wish them all the best in their future adventures. In their place, we’ve welcomed four new members, each bringing extensive sailing experience: Bob McLaughlin (secretary), Peter Alarie, Alex Clegg, and Steve Thurston. We encourage you to attend the meeting and get to know our new team.
The PHRF committee has made several minor updates to the rules for 2026, mostly to clarify wording and help maintain fair competition as technology evolves.
We invite members to review the PHRF-NB Regulations – 2026. Your feedback is welcome via email at PHRFAdmin@phrf-nb.org. The agenda and a clean copy of the 2026 Regulations can be downloaded.
Please join us at the East “G” Yacht Club at 6:30 pm to meet our committee, discuss the proposed changes for 2026, or any other topics you’d like to address.
