October 23, 2019 PHRF-NB Minutes
Meeting at Quantum Sail Loft, East Greenwich, RI
Called to order at 6:40pm
Attendees: Mark Nannini Commodore; Will Museler, Rating chairman; Roy Guay, treasurer; Kathy Rotsky, administrator; Bob Horton, Secretary; Todd Johnston, board member; Paul Cronin, board member; Don Kern, Board member; Paul Grimes, board member
- Motion to approve the minutes from the previous meeting of September 23, 2019 which had been distributed via email were seconded and approved.
Review of the 2019 Rating appeals and provisional ratings
The list of boats that were presented to the board via appeals or initial certificate request in 2019 was distributed via email prior to the meeting for review at this meeting. The committee discussed each of the boats on the list to determine if further review should be initiated. Three boats were identified as worthy of additional consideration;
- The Diva 39 High Energy owned by Ed Adams
- The Quest 33S, Cepheus owned by Philip Haydon
- The Beneteau Sense 50 SD owned by Carl Metz
OLD BUSINESS
The draft of the PHRF-NB Regulation document for the year 2020 which had been sent out via email was reviewed in detail and more changes were identified. These changes will be updated in the document and sent out via email for final approval by the board members.
NEW BUSINESS
Location for November meeting will be suggested to be at Newport Yacht Club. The date for the meeting is November 18, 2019 6:30pm.
The location for the 2020 annual meeting will be at the Newport Yacht Club on either January 28th or 29th
Commodore Mark Nannini indicated that due to work commitments that he will not be able to serve as Commodore in 2020.
A slate of officers for 2020 will be discussed at the November meeting.
